Lead Preschool Teacher Expectations
All lead teachers are responsible for developing and implementing long-term and short-term lesson plans based on the schools' philosophies. They are responsible for the documentation of development through assessment. Communication with parents about their child's development is very important. Structuring the classroom to reflect the lesson plans is another responsibility of a lead teacher. Lead teachers must be vigilant about the health and safety of the children. The lead teacher is responsible for the equipment and supplies in the classroom, they must respect the equipment and go through proper channels in ordering/maintaining supplies for the program. Finally, all lead teachers must maintain their continued education in accordance with the Step-Up-To-Quality Ohio program and state standards. A Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree is required in Child Development or Education.

Bachelor or Associate Degree in ECE/ChildDevelopment or a Career Pathways Level 3 certification Experience working in a licensed childcare facility strongly preferred

Assistant Teacher Expectations
Teachers are responsible for proper supervision of the children by closely keeping them in sight and keeping proper attendance records. Health and safety is very important at our school and requires teachers to keep a clean and tidy room. Using positive guidance techniques and being engaged with the children through direction/play helps support the CREATIVE philosophy. Assistant Teachers are responsible for keeping up with licensing requirements for Step-Up-To-Quality and state standards. We encourage a team approach to teaching and look for our assistants to help with classroom assessments, observations and lessons. Finally, all assistant teachers must maintain their continued education in accordance with the Step-Up-To-Quality Ohio program and state standards. A background in Early Childhood or experience is a plus.

Youth Soccer Intern

    Job Available: 2/10/2017     Starting Date: 3/31/2017

Gain experience in your field, while making a difference on our field. 

Creative Early Learning Center is looking for an intern to assist in our KickStart Soccer Program for ages 2-5.  The program will be divided into our Lil’ Kickers program for those who are 2-3 and our KickStart program for children ages 4-5.

This program will run from March 27-June 5. 

We are looking for someone who has experience working with children and has a passion for physical education.  You will be working alongside our staff to carry out tasks. 

Job Tasks

Help oversee drills and teach children basic soccer skills

Chart developmental growth of children

Organize children into teams

Organize paperwork

Supervise & referee games

Assist in set-up and take down

Time Commitment

During the first 5 practice weeks (March 27-April 24) we will need the intern to come for about 2 hours to help with teaching basic soccer skills and charting the developmental growth of the children.

The games will run for 6 weeks beginning on May 1-June 5.  The games will be played on Monday nights from 4-6.   The rainout make-up games will play on the Wednesday of that week. 

Upon completion of this program we will supply you with a letter of recommendation discussing the work and effort you put forward to improving our program.

 

 



Cook

    Job Available: 3/28/2017     Starting Date: 4/30/2017

The person selected for this position will be responsible for the management of the kitchen and lunch room.

QUALIFICATIONS

The person selected for this position must be an experienced cook, posses a knowledge of basic principles of good nutrition, have demonstrated ability to plan for economy shopping, ordering from suppliers, and in planning, preparing and serving balanced meals and snacks. This person should have good personal cleanliness habits, should be sincerely interested in working with young children. In addition, this employee may be asked on occasion to supervise a classroom for lunch or if  an emergency occurs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Planning, shopping, preparing and serving snacks and meals per day to all day children, on the basis of a menu plan for   each four week period.

- Keep a daily inventory sheet on all kitchen supplies and food.

- Complete clean up of snack and lunch dishes. Maintain a clean, safe kitchen atmosphere. Appliances  wiped down, shelves, tables and sinks disinfected daily.

- Performing simple laundry tasks.

- Being responsible for seeing that the kitchen and pantry is neat and organized.

- Reviewing the food service program with the Director and periodically coordinating the program with the other activities of the school.

- Reviewing the menu, inventory, shopping list with the Director.

- Providing assistance to teachers for food and cooking experiences they may wish to plan for their classroom.

- Maintaining, organizing, and keeping a inventory of cleaning supplies and paper products.

- Maintain paper towel, dispensers, toilet paper supply, and soap dispensary.

- Wet mop floor in kitchen and lunch room.

- Organize and sanitize refrigerator and freezer.
